Of course. They had a naval presence in the Pacific because of their overseas possessions. And though they were defeated rather quickly and decisively, they fought the Germans before they were occupied. The German military was a little surprised at their fierce resistance, thinking that they would ally themselves with another 'Germanic' country. The Dutch underground was also very active during its occupation, sending valuable information back to the allies.

They were occupied by the Nazis. They had a Government in exile in the UK. One of the famouse battles of the latter part of WWII was fought by the British Airborne Division at Arnhem in the Netherlands. And, of course, don't forget Anne Frank, the Jewish girl who kept a diary whilst in hiding from the Mazis, but who was eventually captured and lost her life ina concentration camp.
