I work at home and I have a business Outlook account based on the company domain name. I would like to be able to access and send these emails through the internet - are there any easy ways of setting this up?

There are two different ways in which an Outlook account can be set up. One is to have a regular web email address, and then just have each person set up Outlook to open that account. If that is what the company did, then you can get to the email from anywhere using the Internet.

But most of the time they set up an Exchange server, which means they own and control the server on which the email resides. They then get to control whether there is web access to the account. Normally, there is not. They would have to set up a web access for you to reach it without Outlook.

Because there are multiple ways in which the email could be configured, and I am not where I can look at the settings (and you do not want to post them for security reasons), the best answer I can give you is to email the company and ask them. They will be able to tell you how to access the email without Outlook - if it is possible.

Outlook connecting to Microsoft Exchange? You could use Outlook Web Access. Is the email server in your home, or at another location?

It's a bit awkward to help much without a lot of detail sorry!

Ma'am, it's a pity that people don't seem to know that Yahoo doesn't allow POP access to freebie account holders and that, therefore, you cannot configure it in Outlook or any other e-mail Client. That's a feature only provided to Premium Paying Members, ma'am. I'm really sorry I wasn't able to help you, ma'am. Do have a nice day.

ask your providor of the outlook business account about "outlook web access" they have to configure it on the server first.
