Try a nice letter or e-mail. In this case you will be far away in order not to get heart.

That's a tough one, Lando. I guess you could suggest that you go on a diet together. But no matter what you say she'll know what you're thinking so it is impossible to tell her without injury. The only thing you have control over is the severity of the injury you can either rip it off like a band aid or you can break her arm. Good Luck.

It's certainly not easy. Perhaps you could do it indirectly, like buy her a nice dress that's "accidentally" a size too small. Or maybe you can serve a nice low-calorie dinner, and comment that you like to see her enjoying a healthy meal "for a change."
Funny thing is, if you make plenty of fruits and vegetables and otherwise good wholesome food, you get full on fewer calories. It's the highly prepared foods, with their "dense" calories and their high fat content, that are the real enemy.
Also, you could take her dancing, or roller skating, or otherwise to entertainments that use enough calories to make a difference. Don't make going out to dinner a major social thing, because restaurants inevitably serve too large a portion, and usually too much fat and sugar.
The big thing is to let her know you love and respect her right now, not what you imagine she will be like once she loses weight. But you are sufficiently concerned for her well-being and long-term health condition that you want to be of help to her.
And Goddess bless you for being such a caring gentleman!

Is she REALLY fat....or just a few pounds over? My woman is a few pounds over - I don't complain - I let HER do that. I'm not going to nit-pick - I love her for who and what she is. Now REALLY FAT is a different matter. Just indicate that you love her but are going to start looking for a new woman since she isn't going to be around very much longer - Fat people might be jolly but their heart works so hard it kills 'em faster than smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day! If she ASKS for your help...say YES, and see what she wants - Diet books? Some exercise equipment (lack of exercise is a major cause for being obese), or joining a weight loss club? Natural diet pills like Hoodia? Help her and encourage her. If she is at or over 35, she needs to understand her metabolism - It is LESS than 1/2 of what it was at age 18!

Do you live with her? If so, tell her you want to eat better and get healthier. Buy fresh fruits, cook healthy meals together. Start walking every night after dinner, a brisk get sweaty kind of walk. She'll do it with you. Either that or tell her you want to go to the beach in August for a getaway. That should put the fear of god into her. Whoever said to watch Supersize Me was 100% right. If that movie doesn't get her to change her ways, nothing will.

You might want to leave it alone. There's no way you can bring that up to a woman without some repercussion.
Start eating healthy (if you aren't) to set an example and suggest healthy places to go for food or to cook at home and suggest more physical activity...'honey, you feel like going for a walk tonight?'

that is so considerate from your part.. usually men are like "hey you are getting too fat", or "hey, lose some of those love handles.. " I am a woman, and sometimes my husband tells me in a nice way.. "honey, don't do that... because I know you.. later on you will be telling yourself why did I eat that" there are two kinds of people ... those to live to eat and those who eat to live... totally different.. just tell her in a nice kind manner.. not to eat junk foods, sweets.. etc.. and motivate her to walk every day.. she will feel waaaaaaaaaaay better... then she would want to do it on her own....

1st of all, I think you mean "ask", not tell.
2nd of all, you should act like you want to lose weight too, even if you really don't. Join a gym or start exercising and ask if she wants to go. Start eating healthier and she'll most likely follow your foot steps once she sees you.
This way, you don't need to directly ask her to lose weight.

Go to your local chinese restaurant and have them print a special Fortune Cookie that says "Lose weight fatty" and then order food from there one day and have them put it with your delivery.

Get yourself on a health kick, and ask her to join you, tell her you want to be sexy for her. If your both out exercising and hiking and making salad then she will get the idea and the extra benefit is spending more time with you....
