Being as Al is a politician it is hard to believe that what he is doing is for the good of us all. I know he has a movie out and a book and he has been jetting around the country making personal appearances. This begins to sound kind of like a business more than someone wanting to make a public service announcement.

From Wikipedia regarding the movie, "An Inconvenient Truth": "The film's distributor, Paramount Classics, is donating 5% of the box office receipts and Gore is donating all of his proceeds from the film to The Alliance for Climate Protection (of which Gore is both founder and chairman)."

everyone has their reasons for standing up for what they believe in. i think al gore may have started off witht the best of intentions but now its seems as though he has taken a serious inssues and turned into hey look its al gore didnt he run for president show. i think this is a desperate bid by him to stay in the spotlight and potentially run for an elected office

Probably to pay his outrageos electric bill. He gets paid per appearance so that right there is a boat load of money and on top of that planes don't use biodiesel and jet fuel is very toxic...I would personally like to see him travel from place to place in a hybrid car. I bet he wouldn't make half as many appearances then...
