2x² - 14x + 12 = (2x-2)(x-6)
Area = Length * Width

Perimeter = Length + Length + Width + Width

(2x - 2) + (2x - 2) + (x -6) + (x-6) = 6x -16

D) 6x - 16

I'll show you how to find the answer: First, notice that the expression 2x^2-14x+12 is quadratic by virtue of the highest power being two. Secondly notice that you can easily factor out a two giving you: 2(x^2-7x+6). Notice that the quadratic expression inside the paranthesis is easily factorable. Factor the expression, and redistribute the two and you'll obtain the length and width of the rectangle because
area=(length)(width). Then all you need to do is calculate the perimeter by adding twice the length to twice the width. Good Luck.

ab=2x^2-14x+12

ab= (x-6)(2x-2)

a=x-6
b=2x-2

2(a+b) =2( (x-6)+(2x-2) )

=2(3x-8)

=6x-16
