So heres the deal. I am nauseous almost all of the time. I am gaining weight, and I'm exhausted all the time, no matter how much sleep I get. My hair is much more dry and brittle than it ever has been, and I am completely emotional. Last month I had my period three times, and my period for this month is two weeks late. I went to the doctor last week though, and they ran a whole bunch of tests. They said that one, i wasn't pregnant, and two, all of my tests came back normal. How can I be feeling this way if nothing is wrong with me?? Any help would be appreciated.

They checked my thyroid and tested me for diabetes and to see if I was anemic. I'm not saying all doctors are stupid, I'm just really sick of feeling like this and they cannot find whats wrong with me.

I would go and get a second opinion...everyone is entitled to that....and do not give up and don't settle for everything is fine I suffered for 6 months with severe vomiting and could not keep a damn thing down well the second Dr I went to after being poked at and prodded ran one test and a week later I was in surgery have my gallbladder removed because it was severely inflamed. So do not take nothing is wrong with you for an answer if I were you find the best hospital in the area or the best dr in the area and go to them I did not give up when I was told nothing was wrong I knew how I felt and something was not right and I was right. Hang in there it will get better!

You need to check with your doctor and make sure your thyroid was tested. Doctor's dont tend to check for this very often, but I was having some of the same symptoms a few years ago they checked my thyroid and it was barely working. I got put on medicine and have changed completely I feel great. If it isnt that I would recommend getting on some type of anti depressant, you may not be depressed, but it can help you get your life back.

Most Drs are not stupid. Medical care is not an exact science. Many conditions mimic others so often finding a correct diagnosis is a matter of trial and error. Be persistent if your problem does not go away. Keep going and don't give up till you find out what it is. Have you been checked for Diabetes or thyroid disease? Both of these conditions cause these symptoms.

Just because your tests came back normal doesn't mean they said nothing is wrong with you. They just said that the tests were normal so now you need to go back and they need to do more extensive testing. If you don't trust the doc you see then find a new one and have your test results and records sent to the new doc. But your doc did not say that nothing was wrong he just said that the testing so far was fine so what he tested for is not the cause of your problems.

If it hasn't been checked yet, I would go back to the doctor and tell him/her that you want to be checked for increased H. Pylori as well as have your thyroid checked. If you have increased H. Pylori in your stomach, it can cause you to be nauseous fairly often (I've been there), and if left untreated can cause serious side effects. The other symptoms sound a lot like your thyroid. If you're not getting anywhere with your current doctor, I'd try to find a new one.

You need to get a second opinion. Also, have you had a pap smear recently? Your diet may also have an impact on your body, especially if you are currently overweight. Try adjusting your diet and excersicing. Drinking plenty of fluids may also make a difference in your skin and hair. Try a multi vitamin, and for your hair, try Biotin. It's a great supplement for your hair and nails. I take it daily. Good luck.

Even though your pregnancy test came back negative you still may be pregnant. This is called an ectopic pregnancy. this is when the egg is stuck in one of the tubes. These kinds of pregnancies don't come up positive when taking a regular pregnancy test. Go back to the dr. and tell them you think you may have an ectopic pregnancy. It happened to me before.

You might want to have your doctor do an ultrasound on your ovaries, could be polycystic ovary sydrome. Also, have them check your insulin, it's a test where they draw blood, while you're fasting, then you drink some really sweet stuff and wait for two hours, then they'll draw more blood, could be insulin resistant.

Do you know if they tested your TSH (thyroid) levels? I had the same issues a few years back and my TSH levels were all out of whack. They can fluctuate for different reasons. Mine was due to diet....I changed a few things and they went back to normal.
