I personally think it feels like a bad sunburn. Eventually it does go numb. I agree with the previous poster it does also depend on the tattoo artist on how heavy handed they are. The more pressure they put the more it will hurt.

Yes tattoos hurt, depending on where on your body you get them the pain is different. places where the muscle is thin collar bones, ankles, wrists tend to hurt a little more. The problem with tats are the pain can become addicting, if you like it you'll want more and more. The best I can describe it is it starts out feeling like a scratch and moves into feeling like an electric tingle. by the time you're finished depending on how much shading you're having done it will be down right painful. But worth the pain. Something you'll have forever.

to me it feels like someone is scraping away the top layer of your skin. No pain, just pleasure...lol....only pain I ever had when I got a tat was directly on the bone.

No, depends where you get it. It feel like a deep scratch. I think the knee is the most painful, then maybe ribs then foot. Arm area is the least painful. Of course this is my opinion and others may disagree. Also your tattoo artist plays a big role in how heavy handed he/she may be.

I have a lot of them, and It fells like someone pinching your skin at about 100 times a second. Eventually it goes numb.

it's more of an annoying bee sting pain. Doesn't hurt too much but you want it to be over with as soon as possible.

Acutally, it usually takes alot of shots (of alcohol) before someone is stupid enough to get a tattoo.
