I have only rarely noticed a man's shoes at all, if that answers your question. I look at his face for identification purposes (if that is you in the picture, and not Billy Dee Williams, you would draw my attention for sure), but mostly, I look at his build, his grooming, and then into his eyes. If he's paying attention to me and has a pleasant look on his face (he's enjoying the experience), I'll spend more time.

Warning: we are mostly talking about my memories of long ago, as now I am a 60-year-old widow and there are darn few men who are worth my attention. I have been forever spoiled by Sean Connery, especially in "The Hunt for Red October," and dream of a man my own age or even older who is nevertheless sexy. They are rare, almighty rare.
