The President is not hired to represent us, he is hired to be the Commander in Chief, not bend to the mob. There is a significant difference in the roles.

Want to stop the insanity, quit doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Vote this people out of office, then things will change for the better, keep them in office you will get more of the same insanity. I cannot believe some people say they are for change, the liberals, and then they just keep the same lunatics in office.

Our political system has always represented more of a balance among the will of the majority, the rights of the minority, and good of the nation as a whole. That's a very difficult balance to strike, and it rarely leaves everyone happy.

No. Our political system represents the will of those who have the wealth and resources to influence the political process. That is why there are so many lobbying groups.

I would say it probably never has. People represent many races, creeds, ethnic and financial backgrounds. Many of which without blue-blood (the chosen ones :0))backing will continue to go unheard by the political parties in which we've elected and stand behind. regardless of the love, loyalty and nationalism we may have, the sons and daughters we send to foreign soils to defend these things, our political system will always do whats best for itself and not for the people who've elected no chosen the system to do what's just by its people.

Bush only won after Kerry took the election, but Bush's brother, the governer of the state of Florida, agreed to a recount of the votes. Surprisingly (!?!) Bush won after all. He's since been doing things AT us, the people, instead of FOR us. Well, we may not be able to do anything now, but just trust in the fact that what goes around comes around.

No - that is obvious with the polls that are taken. The people are only elected by about 25% of the people unless it is a landslide and then maybe 50%. Then even if they are elected by a majority, they get into Congress and spend all of their efforts to raise money to get re-elected.

It is hard to say, America is such a large country. Among my peer group I would say no, but it is difficult to judge how other people in other parts feel about it.
