I stopped listening to Rush Limbaugh ten years ago. His radio show goes for 20 minutes of commercials for every 3 minutes of actual air time.
He'll make good points from time to time, but mostly he's just a Republican hack. If you turn to Limbaugh for all your news and the GOP's talking points, you'd be better served by pursuing other news sources.

Limbaugh, Hannity, and other talking heads, and the liberal ones, too, generalize way too much, and have too little grasp of complex issues, to be opinion makers, but they are, which is scary to me. Becoming informed on substantial issues is hard work, and, I'm afraid the popularity of these people is a manner in which some Americans can feel informed and in the know. Thank goodness we are a representative democracy, for, these people, with the media power they possess, would have the rabble crowd voting like hateful lemmings driven to the polls!

Rush is the perfect reason I chose not support the Republican Party of the far right. Rush loves to dish it his brand of hate but cross him and he nail you to the cross. By the way Rush thanks for out rage over Michael J. Fox permitting the voters of Missouri to turn out Jim Talent and elect Claire McCaskill to the US Senate.

He's entertaining at times.
That's what he is, an entertainer.
I'd point out this though - he does run circles around some of the so-called intellectuals on the Left.
And that means that if he's the stupid blowhard that they say he is, they're downright pathetic.
Some of his guest hosts have been better. He has that economist from George Mason on sometimes - he's smart.
I don't view Limbaugh as a source of facts either. I get my facts from the Census Bureau and the Federal Reserve. However as a result of that, I know that on economic issues Limbaugh is usually on target. Much more so than say, Lou Dobbs....
But I have to say, I live in the Boston area - we have WEEI, sports radio 24/7. So, even if I'm driving in mid-day to or from a client, that pretty much means I don't listen to Rush often.

He is the balance in today's media. For years I thought I was alone in my convictions. That the world was populated by liberal idiots, all without a clue as to how the world works. Then I heard Rush and my deepest beliefs were echoed back to me. I knew I was not alone. That the evening news broadcast by the major networks was in fact propaganda. Because of Rush, FOX news was born, an alternative to the mind numbing anti-American garbage of CBS, NBC, and ABC. Rush is the most influential media figure in the history of America. I am proud to say I was on the ground floor when truth once again became part of what we know as news.

He has the most popular syndicated radio show in the country for a reason! So liberals can bash him all they want. It won't change the fact that over 20 million listeners a day tune in to listen to what he has to say!

He's a hypocritical dick.
If you find Rush informative, ask the attendant to loosen the restraints of your straitjacket.

I love Rush!! The reason people don't like him is because they know he is right! Liberals can't stand him because, all they have is NPR (piece of crap radio) and Air America, that can never keep its head above water.
