I have a spring attached to the throttle linkage, that must attach to the choke linkage on the other end. I can find no hole where it might attach. This is for a Murray push mower Model # 22541X92D w/ a Briggs engine. The loose end of the spring is shaped like a paper clip, approx 3/4" long, I assume it is shaped like this to let the governor to work freely. There is a loop in the governor connecting rod, could it attach there somehow? The choke does not operate at present when the throttle is moved.

Get the model number off the engine and go to outdoordistributers.com. Find the engine model and it will give exploded views of the engine including carb and springs.
