I can't remember who said that, but it makes sense.

Peace can be achieved without war if peaceful options are pursued however this is rarely put in practice due to war being a profitable venture, peace is normally at the back of a warmongers mind. To put it in perspective as long as man is alive peace will never exist as man never learns from mistakes and man will always want war! History will prove just how consistent man has always been with this.

Depends on your interpretation of "peace"... If all world leaders decided to focus on their own citizens and agree not to intervene with other countries rules of law or governmental decisions then that would certainly stop the wars and fighting between countries , which I guess (in world view) would seem peaceful.. But then people would have no right to be outraged at leaders like President Bashir, Vice-President Taha, Security Chief Gosh , who are responsible for the ongoing Darfur Genocide , or Saddam and his gassing of the Kurds etc... None of these leaders would or will give up their rule without a fight.. so, I don't think peace can be achieved without war , not when world leaders have too much to lose.... Man is too greedy to give up without a fight..

If God countries cannot belong to no God power then
whenever desire of fairness overcomes others then peace will come. Change self first to the way you like to see the world change.

Many countries around the world have thousands years of wars in the history because of this, and Middle East have oldest history on earth.

Frankly, no hope wars will come to the end at a certain period of time without come back again and again later in a life time or next generations.

Well here is World Peace Girls answer. As much as I desire a world with no war and no death, the fact is that there are evil people in the world with selfish ambitions who want nothing more than to siege power. One may argue that if we were to examine the causes of violence (poverty, ect.) and address those, then maybe we could rid the world of war. I believe that would help make the world a lot more peaceful, but it wouldn't end war permanently. As long as there is evil in the world there will be war.

Well, one side of a conflict can delude themselves into thinking they have achieved peace without war. They can describe themselves as above that sort of petty, neanderthal behavior and place all their efforts into a peace full solution. Just about the time they start really feeling good about themselves.. they will all be killed by everyone else that doesn't subscribe to that philosophy.

Anyone who thinks so is living in utopia land. I would love to believe it but war and peace are inextricably linked by human nature of politics, greed and avarice. The propensity of war and peace exist in all walks of life and all cultures subject to the prevailing situations of man at any given time since creation.

I dont want to get into this one too deep but the controlling factors and brokering of war and peace are simply economic grounds on collateral damage, loss and or gain, the sustainability of peace once achieved is brokered on economic stability.

No.Never.
It has never really happened, even the ones without war, they aren't really in peace.
It will never happen and never could happen.
Peace in the world is an unachievable philosophy, peace in the world is IMPOSSIBLE.
Peace in the world CAN NEVER happen.
Imagine Heaven, That is peace, how could you possibly think that there will be total peace in the world??!!!!
Peace in the world is an ideology, it is called Utopia.....

Peace will be achieved when stable democracies are spread all over the planet... It will take less time through peace, since war is instability, economic losses, and thus leads back to dictatorship and populist rulers.
