I don't mind agreement. It is good.
I don't care for arguing, I don't mind debate, (got awards) but find most want to get angry and often nasty.
A good politician would want the people to be united. A true politician needs the people in discourse.

I agree Romare. People should do more research on their own instead of simply depending on what we see or hear in the media. Their is still a problem with the internet though. Last night someone posted a facebook page that was supposed to be Obama's official site. It gave his age as 52. Someone clearly hacked into it to give the birther movement some needed fuel. Then I read another article about a person from California who made a fake facebook page for Sarah Palin and ran it for months until it was shut down. There are also numerous blogs that give biased "facts." Do we ever know the real truth? One side says one thing, the other side says something completely opposite. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

There are definitely some people who just want to argue but I am not one of them. I think the politicians want us to argue because if people realized republicans and democrats are all the same, they would be out of a job.

We do love to argue way too much, and no the politicians do not want us to agree on anything. It's summed up best as divide and conquer. As long as we're fighting among ourselves we won't notice them.

I think we would like to agree on issues… That would mean we are accomplishing something.
That is why our Congress & President can never accomplish anything worthwhile. They are all self-serving and have forgotten why they were elected. To serve the people.
While at it's core, I disagree with term limits as it limits our choices on who to vote for… I believe that Congress should be limited to 8 years, just like the President. It is one place that fresh ideas are very sorely needed.

We love to argue....but I love finding common ground with a liberal even more. It is possible. We all just see things differently........The more we argue, the more the republicans and democrats maintain their stranglehold on America`s citizens. The politicians love it.

I am of the firm belief that everyone should agree with me. ;)
Although I do enjoy arguing (not FIGHTING, but arguing in the debate sense) because the process sharpens my skills, I wouldn't mind more agreement.

I think we all agree on a lot of things. However, where we disagree is how these things should be accomplished.
