We are but we don't shout about it, hope you have signed the petition for us to have St Georges day off.
Unfortunately people do not realise what the English flag is and think its the Union Jack and that we are racists.
I am not a racist don't care what race or religion you are everyone stands on there own merit with me and I am proud to be English.

I see you have a few 'freedom fighters' stories here among your answers? English fought for their freedom???
As I remember it Queen Boadicea had a little skirmish with the Romans, I cant recall any other time when the English fought for freedom, I can however recall Scotland, Wales,Ireland fighting for freedom!! Freedom from the English!
No real need for me to go through all the other spots in the world that have fought to get rid of the English is there??
We Scots are proud because we have earned the right to be proud.

Us English are fed up with the way we are being treated by the goverment, i was once proud to be English, but the country is being ruined.

we english find it hard to be proud to be british,how can you be proud to british when your rights are being taken away slowly,we havent got freedom of speech anymore if you shout at someone in the street you are breaching the peace now a days, let alone telling someone what you think of them,
