Practice makes perfect. Don't know any other way to improve your typing speed. I typed before I ever went to grade school. And now my speed is over 100 words per min., and no errors.

When I started the letters were removed from the keys. I had to memorize the keyboard. This is the very best way to improve your speed. Don't look down at the keyboard. Know the keyboard in your mind.

One of the best things my Dad ever did for me was MAKING me take a typing class in highschool. Although I hated it at the time, I am so grateful now!! I would buy a program to increase typing speed or look at a community college to see if there is a class.

Simple, type.

The more you do it, the faster you get. Grab a book and spend a half hour each day just typing from the book. Within a months time you will have easily doubled your speed, and should go up from there.

Gee whiz, that was one of the courses I'm the gladdest I took in high school! I dunno if you can find one, but it would DEFINITELY be worthwhile to take, say, a community college or some other course in typing! If I recall correctly, it started with simple small words, then working up to larger words, then sentences, until it became almost instinctual to be able to type without looking. Typing without looking is the key. Positioning your hands correctly is essential! Good luck!
