Monoply and chess! Monoply because I'm greedy and love taking people's money. Chess because not many people have the mental capacity to understand it and play well.

I've got two categories; games that are good for everybody, and games that are good for people that can put up with a lot of rules
*The Farming Game - Simulates the frustration of being a farmer
*Acquire - Hotel investment game
*Empire Builder - Building railroads with crayons
*Pirates Cove - Competing for plunder
*Puerto Rico - I don't know how they put so many strange rules together to make such a perfect game
*Citadels - A fun card game with play somewhat similar to Puerto Rico
Games that I love to play but require too much time,
*Eagle Games Civilization
*Avalon Hill's Civilization
*Magic Realm (if you can figure out the combat system)
*Twilight Imperium, 3rd edition (maybe with some house rules)
*Warcraft (the boardgame)
And I guess I like the pop games:
Life, Monopoly, Careers, Clue, Sorry, Risk
Aha! I know. My favorite boardgame is any that people will play!

How many different games have you tried? 10? 100? 1000?
Try going to a boardgame festival or free boardgame event in your area where you can play hundreds of different games and find your own personal favorite. I like Goa, Ra, Power Grid, and of course Puerto Rico (who doesn't?). If you haven't yet played the top 10 favorite games of boardgame fanatics worldwide you should. As one friend said when he first tried Puerto Rico: "Oh my god! This game is AWESOME!"

Nuclear War isn't exactly a board game, it's more of a card game, but I like it. My favorite games are other older ones called Barbie Queen of the Prom, Happiness, Cosmic Encounter, and Rail Baron. Rail Baron is kind of like Monopoly crossed with Risk where you try to get control of the railroads across the U.S.

Monopoly and Clue are good. There were some when I was younger like Dark Tower, and Green Ghost that I liked. I'm not sure those are still available though.
