Yup. I was crap at sports. I used to have to go to do PE in summer, and they'd make us play cricket and rounders. I had hay fever and could never hit the ball. Usually I'd end up standing way out in the field, dropping catches until my nose started bleeding. But back in the classroom I was on top again - it's a shame there were no teams for science, history and English...

Oh yes,the bad memories are coming back to me now...........
The team captains would choose their best mates, then the people who were actually any good,so that would leave me and a girl called Christine.I considered it a good day if I was chosen before her!
I hated sport then and I still hate sport. now. I dislike the 'being better than anyone else'.I detested the silly PE kit,the cold showers.......
The whole thing scarred me for life !!

Yes, though most frequently I was the next to last to be picked for teams. I was enthusiastic but rubbish at sports, whereas the one who would be picked last was just rubbish at them!

All the time. I consoled myself by thinking the athletes would slow down and age but I was going to be intelligent all my life! They are the ones who will hjvae memories of what they used to be able to do. What I am able to do I will always be able to do.
