I now commute 30 to 45 minutes per day depending on traffic to my job. I've also signed a year contract with my employer. I have the option to renew it for the next 3 to 4 years if I wanted to. It cost me about $44 to fill up my suv for one week. I saw some bigger houses on line in the area they are asking the same as what I pay for my house. Would it be wiser for me to rent my house and buy another one or sale it and move closer to my job to save money?

Renting out your house can cause a lot of hassle. Unless you get a very good renter, there can be many expenses that you haven't even thought about.

You are driving an SUV. Have you considered a smaller car? That could save lots of gas, and not be nearly as complex as owning two houses.

If you decide to move closer, would probably make more sense to sell your current house and buy one close to work.

Probably not. Consider how much the move will cost you, vs. how much you will save in gas.

You are probably only paying an additional 15 -20 bucks a month in gas from this time last year, but a move across town could cost you close to a $1,000.

regularly they are given quite a few ideas. One, flow to a various project with open areas. 2, if the county is development new projects to change the previous ones, they might flow there. many situations the recent projects are no longer finished until now the previous ones are torn down, so the citizens could stay in small, momentary trailors until the projects are finished. 3, they might receive area 8 vouchers and informed to locate their very own domicile. The final one is the main user-friendly nowdays. Many states evaluate those projects as an eyesore and that they fairly provide the families area 8 vouchers and have them locate their very own domicile so those people are not all lumped in one community. HUD additionally frequently buys a undeniable proportion of condos and rents them area 8. that's totally debatable...that's stated as "mixed housing". that's the place a sparkling house complicated is outfitted and 80% or so of the homes are offered via usual people, then 20% are rented out area 8 to unfavourable families. In replace, the gov't supplies tax breaks to the developer of the valuables for permitting area 8 families in. it relatively is debatable because of the fact the developer relatively would not prefer to tell each and every physique there is going to be area 8 families shifting in because of the fact they might harm the revenues of the condos. And families paying for those properties relatively do no longer prefer to stay next to area 8 families by stigma.

Kimmy, the answer may be in the car that you drive! Figure out getting a car that is a bit more fuel efficient. Figure out the cost of getting the car (how much will your financed monthly payments be) the insurance on your car will be lower (if it's non SUV & Non-Sports) and figure out how much gas on the mileage you will spend!

Also, you may want to gas up with one of those gas cards that will give you rewards!

renting your house and buying will cause alot of difficulty. i suggest if your serious about moving, then put your house on the market and start searching for anew place. renting is such a headache. i would only do this if u could not sell after like 3-5months. just remember if u have alease these people might end up squatting and not paying rent, leaving u will legal fees to evict them, owing 2 mortgages... if u decide to rent rent to someone u know and trust!
