I am assuming that this is a relatively new computer and that your 60-90 day subscription to your antivirus has expired. If this is the case, then first go to START, CONTROL PANEL, and select ADD\REMOVE PROGRAMS. After it populates, scroll down the list to find Mcafee or Norton antivirus or Internet security. Click once to highlight the selection and then select the REMOVE button to the far right. Once the program is finished uninstalling, you will most likely have to restart. After your computer has rebooted, there are a number of free antivirus programs that will serve you well. Personally, I recommend AVAST antivirus. It is free and all you have to do is register it to get unlimited updates. It is small and efficient. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Remove the program or renew your subscription is the only way. If it is an antivirus program here is a free excellent program.
Here is an excellent from antivirus program from AOL, Active Virus Shield powred by Kaspersky Lab of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get auto updates every hour on the hour, plus an excellent background scanner that really works great. AOL, will only ask you for your email so they can send you a free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.
