Some call the genocide in the Darfur region in the Sudan the first "global warming" war. Much of this is because of the extended extreme drought conditions brought on, some say, by climate change. The civil war started as different tribes fought over decreasing resources (food, water, etc.). Your thoughts?

No the war in the Sudan is about radical Islamists attacking a murder infidels (mostly Christians) so they can have complete control of the country. The Groups that try and make it about global warming, are just trying to ignore what the war is really about. Obviously it is about decreased resources, when the army comes in and forces your family to leave your home, you can no longer farm for food. The war is the cause of the famine, not the other way around.

No, it's not a civil war among rival tribes fighting over limited arable land.

It's the Muzzies killing everyone else.

Just like almost every other hotbed of violence in the world, from Africa to Thailand.

I'm sorry and I mean no disrespect, but you have got to be kidding me. A global warming war??? You've got to quit watching Michael Moore and Rosie and the lunatic left. I've never heard anything that ridiculous.

I hear the fighting in Darfur is not a war but an example of 'ethnic cleansing'.

How is ethnic cleansing caused by global warming?

No, I think like most mass killings in Africa, scarcity of resources does not play nearly as large a role as tribal hated and centuries of fighting each other.
