Logically I agree with the answer above. However, the first tools (stone tools) known are from the time of H. habilis, long after bipedal locomotion. I agree that there were probably primitive tools before then, they are just not known from the fossil (/archaeological)record. So I would say, based on the "fossil record":

-opposable thumb
-bipedal locomotion (Orrorin tugenensis)
-primitive tool making (Homo habilis)
-burying dead (Neanderthals)
-cave structures and carving sculptures (~40,000 years ago)

Here's my guess.

Opposable thumb -- even monkeys have this.
Primitive tool making -- chimps do this
Bipedal locomotion -- that's us!
Practice of burying their dead -- yup, there's evidence of this happening before the cultural revolution; Neanderthals did this sometimes
Cave structures and carving sculptures -- making sculptures would date from the time of the cultural revolution about 50,000 years ago.
