Antarctica. Even though we typically think of a desert as being hot and sandy, the definition of a desert is that it has very low annual precipitation. Nearly the entire Antarctic continent is a desert by that definition. The second-largest desert, and the largest hot desert, is the Sahara in northern Africa.
