In pageants your scoring doesn't actually start until you are at a certain point on stage. She is not the first one to fall and she won't be the last. If you remember the year Jennifer Hawkins won Miss Paraguy got tangled in her dress and she was 3rd and that is because she was graceful about it the same as was Rachel.
And someone stated earlier that they booed her because she fell and made top 5 wrong answer she was mistreated throughout her stay there during the National Costumer persentation somewhere downtown she was booed and people were giving her a thumbs down and my friend told me she read somewhere that when they were at an autograph signing a lot of the little girls would try to get her autograph but their mothers would pull them away.
And as far as Miss Mexico is concerned what is all the hype because she didn't make the top 5 is it because the pageant was held in mexico? It really boils down to she didn't deliver on stage and the juges gave he low scores. They flashed the scores and she was the 3rd lowest rank in evening gown. Had Miss USA not made the top 5 it probably still wouldn't have been Miss Mexico it probably would have been Angola or Tanz. who scored very high in swim suit. Miss USA probably edged a lot of them out in interview.
If you taped it and go back and view the evening gown portion Angola stumbled twice and yet she still scored higher than Miss Mexico.
I think Miss USA was embarrassed and disappointed with herself but for her to pick herself up and still come down the catwalk looking stunning and still determined should make us proud to be americans and have her as our Miss USA. Did you notice how all the other contestants standing in the boxes were cheering her on.
And the booing was a dislike for Americans because if you go to youtube and do a search for Miss USA Kenya Moore you'll see they did her the same way when she was announced as top 10.

I think Miss USA handled the fall gracefully--got right up and still managed to smile.
Not everyone booed at Miss USA. The reason why some people booed was NOT because she made it to the top 5, but because these few people do not like US immigration policies and are venting their anger and frustration on Miss USA. Shame on them. These few are being disrespectful. And it reflects badly on Mexico.
The Miss Universe organization is American-owned, isn't it? In a way, they're not just booing Miss America, but also the judges, organizers who are American. Donald Trump should be outraged, and should have these people kicked out of the auditorium.

Everyone was booing because she didn't deserve to be on the top 5. She fell!!! They wanted Mexico to win. And they were not booing because of the immigration laws that's just a rummor that people started, because if they wanted to boo because of the laws, then they would be booing at her the whole time and they weren't. I do feel bad for miss USA, but personally i think she shouldn't have got in the top 5, i wish Mexico did, cuz she didn't fall and she was really pretty!

After watching that, I get the feeling that these pagents have all the integerity of a WWE wrestling match. I did feel bad for Miss USA, but I have never seen someone fall like that and advance to the next round. I think the Mexican fans had a right to be upset. I have read that their boos were in protest to immigration issues, but the timing of that was too convinent. They didn't boo till after she fell.

It was unfortunate that Miss USA fell, but she still deserved to be in the top 5. Mexico booed her because they were fuming with rage that their contestant did not make it. Mexico is known for their incessant feat to prove that Mexico is the best at everything. As far as them being upset that the U.S. does not grant their people immigration rights... I don't see why they're pissed off. Most of them don't even deserve those rights. Mexico should worry about how they can fix the corruption in their country to make Mexico a better place, instead of trying to mooch off the U.S.

They didn't boo her because she made it to the top 5, but because she is from the usa and they are mad because of illegal immigration into the USA. But she did take a nasty fall and got back up like nothin even happened. That takes heart.

I still cant believe she fell.... it was sooo unreal...... but she carried herself well.... I was a little disappointed with the pageant overall... I mean its supposed to be the Miss Universe pageant.... you would think there would be alittle more diversity... almost all the contestants looked the same to me. White or light skin with long dark curly hair... dont get me wrong the women representing were absolutely beautiful... I would have just liked to see more diversity... maybe a blond or a red head in the mix. lol.... but I'm glad Japan won.... she seemed to have a genuine personality.

I thought the fall was hillarious. It made watching the show justifiable. and yes, regardless of the reason, she deserves to be booed cos her butt was flat on the floor and she never should have advanced to the next stage. The mostly-American judges would never have given any other country a chance.

Ms USA did not deserve to be booed. She is not the administration. The whole thing should be scrapped. Not a lot of people still pay attention to the pageants any more and this particular one was just mired in controversy.

It was in Mexico, and they booed her because they want the US to help more with illegal immigration. I think they should never hold a beauty Padget in Mexico ever again because of the audience rudeness. I think we should scrap the amnesty bill in Congress and send all the illegals home!
