well as a muslim but remember i am also a white american woman i am appauled by all of this. america occupied iraq. soley to develope a new middle east. one that is american/israeli, and western european friendly. we went there soley to secure more resources. 23 million dollars an hour every day for the last 4 and half years have been pumped out of iraq oil wells. the ironic part is as americans we know that this war was for oil revenues but the real tragidy is the american people have become the worlds most hated people alive, when you look at the majority of the world and their people americans are despised, and the money that has been pumped out has gone to haliburton which is the cheney bush oil company. the american tax payers paid with their lives as well as their tax dollars much needed here at home while our government and their rich friends privatize oil contracts as well as rebuilding contracts, interigation of innocent iraqi people/ torture, training iraqi soilders, etc.... the shame is the american people are being terrorized by their own government. as you can see the government is just pocketing all the revenue generated from iraq. their oil money that has been stolen has been more then enough to pay for their own rebuilding, cleaning of the water, school and health care set up with plenty more to add to the countries treasury. considering your answer is if americans pull out of the war now you are bound to see another rowanda on your hands. when invading iraq bush ignorantly commented he did not know the difference between shia and sunni muslims. saddam kept them under an iron fist to avoid conflict that errupted as sson as the take over of iraq. they will continue to have a civil war. this is a result when a country is occupied. the west has a habbit of desroying nations through occupations. they leave the citizens fighting for power. they steal the resources of that country and in the end there is nothing left and what people are left are completly destitute. example india used to be one country. it was made up of pakistan, bangladesh, and modern day india. when the british went there to expliot their land and colonize them you see the effect now. india has the leading number of aids deaths as of june 2006 reported by the united nations, they have a system where there is extremely wealthy and extreme poverty. sanitation and food regulation laws are practically non existent. britian ruled out of chaos. same goes for the middle east being occupied by france, italy, and england at points in history. the only way to break free from colonization/occupation was to fight and loose their own lives. the africa and asia have the bloodiest history in the world. they have all sorts of faiths and amongst each other they will always fight and compete for power. it is no different then when the american people fought for their freedom against britian. americans run the risk of iraq allying itself with iran if they were to pull out now. many americans do not realize that iran is a prodminatly shia country. the ruling majority implemented by the american government are shia. iraq could unite with iran and become a very powerful country. sunnis and kurds living their could face massive genocide as in what is already going on now. the american government figured it would be easy to just take them over and pit the two islamic sects against each other. it just so happened that the shia came to power. america has not been able to control the situation and pulling out now would definatly put america in an even greater threat then what it is in today. i want to educate people on the fact that when christian nations in the west are in trouble christian countries band together and make alliances in order to fight the enemy. there is no difference in mulim nations. they have a right to defend themselves against any invadors. this does not have to be correct in a westerners view. westerners are entitled to believe that muslims are wrong and follow a wrong religion but that is not up for westerners to decide. it is a fact. muslims will unite and eventually have another war with the west. just like in the past. unless you study the middle east, africa and asia, the religious political power there you will be flabbergasted. religion is the opium of the people. (MARX) what drives these people is their beleif in religion. pretty much the same thing with israel. they are there knowing they are surrounded by 22 arabic countries which loath them but they are there for their "religious right to the land". that is their explination. pulling out now would just prove to the world and make the muslims look like saints that we were there only to steal oil and destroy muslims. it iwill enrage extremeists to bring their level of attacks against ameirca and our allies on a larger scale. i hope this is enough for youu to understand. you do not have to agree with my opinion but if you do the research on what is in the minds of people who do not live in this country, an check facts you will see that it is the truth

If we were to pull our troops out right now, then the first thing is we'd be telling the whole world that we can't finish anymore. We have become weak and we are ripe for attacks. I fear for our troop over there don't get me wrong, but I think we need to stay there to finish this. If we come home then the terrorists that are here will be able to get the intelligence that they have been lacking to carry out a attack in this country. Every time they plan some type of attack here since 9-11 we have stopped them. We leave Iraq then they will regroup like nothing ever before and will carry out attacks here. I don't want to see anything like that awful day again here in this country. I am sick of these democrates not supporting our troops by threatening to withhold money if Bush doesn't set a time table. If we do that then they wait till that day and when we leave they attack us hard and strong. We need to work together, but the real evil empire in this nation(DEMS notice they are the donkey) they just won't stop trying to scare the people in this nation into thinking that we are in more danger when in FACT nothing has happened here since 9-11.

Not much. We might, theoretically, see a small increase immediately following this. The price of gas is controlled by factors unrelated to the war. These include the law of supply and demand; the cost of refining; the price of crude oil; the amount of crude oil available; taxes; marketing prices; the individual service station; and how far from a refinery the station is. So, whether or not we are in Iraq does not have any bearing on any of those factors. We'd probably see what we're seeing now: steadily increasing gas prices with seasonal fluctuations each year.

We will save any more U.S. soldiers from getting killed just for the sake of OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. The Iraqis are an unstable people who have been warring with each other for 1,400 years; that's not going to stop just because the U.S. military is no longer there.
The cowardly Bush administration is, of course, concerned only about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING, without regard to human life. There were only three 'lame' reasons for unconstitutionally and illegally invading Iraq in the first place:
1) The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was ridiculed, criticized and humiliated for not 'finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2) Cheney and his Exxon-Mobil pals wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so they all can get richer and richer and richer feeding America's addiction to cheap,easily-accessible foreign OIL;
3) Ever since World War II, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex has recognized how profitable 'war' can be; so it bought up all the politicians, hired pricey lobbyists, and formed special interest groups to encourage and promote more 'war'. Thus, the U.S. was involved in the Korean Conflict; the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Cold War, Vietnam and Desert Storm. A 'new war' was necessary to boost the sagging profits of McDonnell-Douglass, Lockheed-Martin, Sikorsky and other war contractors, not to mention those two newest government contractors, the Carlyle Group and Halliburton (both of whom have direct ties to the Bush White House).
We will NOT pull out of Iraq for decades - not until every drop of OIL is sucked out of its ground. That's why we're building the largest embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the 'new' puppet Iraqi government installed by the Bush administration.
To repeat: the only reasons we are 'in' Iraq is for OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. The greedheads running our country will not give up billions of dollars in profits just for the sake of a few soldiers' lives or a few more thousand Iraqi lives. The Bush administration is America's Nazi party, fully substantiated by propagandists such as the Fox "News" channel and the most evil person in America, Rush Limbaugh, who spread hatred, lies, inaccuracies, bias, bigotry, and distortions over our airwaves every day in an effort to further divide our nation instead of unifying it.

I would lose my job here in baghdad. The Army would be leaving millions of dollars in equipment here. It would take atleast 1 year to get everyone out. FOBs would be rocketed more because of the lower number of troops. Hundreds of Indians, Pakistanis, and Iraqis working over here for a very good wage would lose thier job and have to go back home with very little money. It is not a good Idea to leave now when we have already taken over the entire country and started turning small ammounts over to the Iraqis.

The same as always, the factions in iraq will keep on fighting as they have for the last 1200 yrs. The british are pulling out why isnt anyone saying they lost . Lost what? we are only making more and more enemies this way. If i kill your brother or father think i want anything to do with you or your people.
World War II taugh us nothing. Hilter made enemies that are still hating germans. We should have left when we got Hussian and his family, it was time to go.

such a troubled country will not stand a chance of being able to make it on their own this early.
i do not support bush's war, but i think it is too late now to suddenly back off and let every soldier there come home.
some say that their problem is not the problem of america, and that the soldiers should not have to endanger themselves for them when there is no threat to america since there are no weapons of mass destruction found.
however, since america started it all, they have to finish it properly, otherwise it would be like feeding the iraqi people to wolves much like saddam, who will be killing each other for the power and claiming innocent lives in the process.
no matter how much we wish that it is possible to let them all come home now, it is simply out of the question now. lets all just pray that everything might be resolved already.

Terroist woulld have won and Bush would still be hated or people would find something else to hate him for. The Iraqi citizens will never have a chance at freedom and someone no better then Hussein will take over again. Clinton should have taken care of this matter when he was in office but was to busy being a coward and adulterer.

The troops will end up in Afghanastan or some other country. There are no real plans to leave. The military activities in the Middle East are just beginning.

This is from my cousin's point of view and he is currently in Iraq: the soldiers are there keeping a bad situation from getting worse...
my point of view...all hell would break loose there, Iraq would be a haven for terrorist and they would be able to plot even more crimes against america....Then the war would come to america and then you will wish that the pull out never occured!!
Common sense is where my point of view comes from!!

They would keep killing each other, as they have done for thousands of years. At least our boys wouldn't be in the crossfire.
There is no way to understand the Middle East without fully understanding the people, including the way they think. The way people think has to do with their upbringing, religion, climate, values....................the differences between them and western culture are almost astronomical.
I don't claim to understand, it's apparent our government does not either.
