There are several mentioned before that I believe are underrated....Green, Bulger, Pennington, etc. I think the most underrated is Drew Brees. He got SD rolling and they let him go. Then in his first season with N.O., he almost took them to the Superbowl. He turned around the worst team in the league...3-13 the year before to a legitimate contender. Not only that, he came close to the MVP award and put up tremendous passing stats with rookies at RB, WR, and OL. If Brees stays healthy, he will have a mind blowing season that will make the Chargers wish they had kept him when he beats them in the superbowl.

John Kitna.
He went to the Pro Bowl in 2003. He had a great year and made the Bengals respectable. He got bumped by Carson Palmer and disappeared for 2 years.
All the sudden he's back. 4200 yards passing for the Lions. Now he's got Calvin Johnson to go along with Martz's passing game. Lions were 3-13 and he had to press too much. For the talent level they have, he's done very well.

Well as hard as it seems to think Vince Young is underated because of his whole rookie of the year award and comeback wins. But people think he is only a running man who never passes and just runs. But look at his stats at Texas he lead all d1 players with the best completion percent. In the pros he threw as many td's as Leinart, in a game or two more, but he didn't have half the weapons that Leinart had. Leinart had Fitzgarled, Bolden and Edgrin James. You know what Vince had, a crap shack offensive line, 1 wideout, a half back, thats all. No one thinks he can pass. He only ran because the offensive line broke down. If he had a few more wideouts he'd throw more offten, I mean he'll still run but he can throw, too. Come on people the guy is THE most underatted QB in the NFL.

Chad Pennington. Probably got the best head and instincts and poise in the game beside Manning or Brady. My quarterback Brees could have an argument, but Brees is definitely more physically gifted, and Pennington has no talent around him, and still manages to get it done.

Brett Favre yeah he had the most thrown int. but he also helped his wide reciever donald driver get the most receptions in the NFL but he also helped his line by getting the ball away and not takeing as many sacks as before and he pretty much lead the legue in passing yards last year and i think that if there players would have been healthy last year they would have made the playoffs at least. They beat out the vikings last year and they have the number 1 defense supposivly but all they have are the players that can't work together. if they could beat them out i think that Favre is way underrated QB in the NFL. but then there is Alex Smith that if he had a decent line then he might just be able to pull off the playoffs which would be a first in a long time. Smith in a couple years with a little work could be better if the people would quit doubting him and putting him down so he doesn't play as good but then he doesn't have many good targets to throw to either. well that is what i think about the question i hope you like it.

Marc Bulger (Rams) - He has been a starter since the middle of the 2002 season. In that time, he has one season below 63% completion. He has 95 touchdowns against only 59 interceptions. He has been fairly durable, having only one season in the last four where he failed to start at least 14 games. He has three seasons of over 3,800 yards. Yet with Torry Holt, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, Mike Martz, and all the big names that have been there since 2002, you don't hear his name as much as you should. Part of the problem is that the Rams went to two Super Bowls from 1999 to 2001. Kurt Warner had two of the best regular seasons in NFL history in that time spanned. Since Bulger took over they have won one playoff game. However, much of that can be attributed to bad coaching, an aging roster, and a poor defense. The quarterback is not the problem, evidenced by his two Pro Bowls. I like the direction the team is headed, and with a solid postseason run; Marc Bulger should look to get more attention.

Brees could most def get my vote, especially after he revitalized the Chargers and then got the boot. Turned around and got the Saints off and running and barely missed MVP honors.

But over time, I think Bulger will have to get his due also.
But since replacing Warner, the Rams haven't gotten back to the promised land so that takes away from his argument a little.
Just a little though.

Gosh on the latest time of infinite insurance from the 4 letter community and breathless platitudes from the adult men in the sales area for minor accomplishments, it truly is plenty harder to call all and sundry underrated. That pronounced I probable accept as true with you, Schaub is probable in the coolest 5 appropriate now and not very nearly to boot ordinary. I do disagree with you that Hasselback is underrated by skill of i'm going to confess my bias. i'm a Cardinal ST holder so i'm getting to be sure the Cardinals play the Seahawks two times a twelve months. final twelve months the Cardinals beat the Seahawks in Seattle and all Hasselback might desire to do replaced into whine approximately how difficult he have been given hit by skill of Cardinals risk-free practices Adrian Wilson. definite, he later backtracked on his comments yet I wrote him off as a loser at that component. He hasn't disillusioned me on account that, 2 losses to the Cardinals this twelve months inclusive of a 27-3 pounding in Seattle the place he have been given picked, fumbled, you call it. stable teach by skill of Hasselwhiner. Seattle desires to start over and hearth Mora. It replaced right into a bad theory to furnish him the job.

I think it has to be Carson Palmer. He's had a couple of tremendous seasons, but is in the shadow of the Bengals off-the-field problems, as well as Peyton Manning, who plays rather close geographically to him, and in the same division. Since he's stuck in back of the Colts, Carson has a very slim shot at winning the division or getting a first round playoff bye, and the recognition he deserves. If he didn't bet undercut in the 2006 NFL playoffs, I don't think the Steelers win the game, much less the Super Bowl.

Alex Smith - 49ers

always had a good arm, just never had a solid line or receiving core

now with a run game in frank gore and a group of wideouts and a TE who can make some plays out there, look for Alex SMith to finally have that season everyone has expected from him
