I have a daughter that just turned 1. She has alway cried alot (90% of the day) and seems to never be happy. She hits, kicks, and yells. One minute she will play and be nice then out of no where through a fit and tantrum. She screms none stop in the car. Doesn't and never has liked people. She hits herself and bangs her head and pulls her hair all the time. she also does funny things with her eyes, they go in weird directions, and at times it looks like she is just gazing through you when she actually looks at you! I was wondering if there is something wrong with her. When she was @ 5 month we had also asked her doctor about seizures, because she would make funny breathing noises. And ones again she has always been like this just adding more to it as time goes on.

That definitely sounds like autism. you need to have a specialist evaluate her.
i really can't believe that her pediatrician would over look something like this! you might want to shop around for a new Peds doc too...doesn't sound like he/she was ever on the ball!

hmm I'm not a doctor- that might be the best advice there- but you might want to ask about autism, ask again about the seizure issue- write down each occurrence- length of the occurrence, what actually occurs and how she is after the occurrence.. keep a log of it and hand it in to the doctor( this also supplies the doctor with proof of a condition( amazing how when they are looking for it the issue never materializes in front of them) i imagine that all this happening to her has made it feel like she is trapped in her own head( something that to anyone else would be a hard issue to handle) hang in there.. good luck and if the doctor tells you nothing is wrong get a second, third forth etc opinion.

Perhaps she should be tested for autism. My niece is suspected of having it and her mother has such a difficult time with her.
Try not to get impatient or frustrated with her if anything. I commend you taking the first step to get help. There's so many stories in the news today of mothers harming their children. Just know that there is help out there, no matter the situation.
I'm no doctor or anything, I'm only speaking from my personal experience, but perhaps she is autistic. You should get her tested as soon as possible. Good luck!

There is a seizure that is known as a "silent seizure." The key is in the eyes...I would document everything, from what she eats to how she throws a tantrum, and then submit it to a doctor after a week or two. Go with your mother instinct...that's what God gave it to you for!

I agree with the other posters, get her to the doctor and get her tested, she may be autistic or have one of many other problems that only a doctor can diagnose. If your doctor is uncorroperative for ANY reason, find another pediatrician or ask for a referral to a specialist.
Good luck!

Go to the doctor. And if the doctor seems like an idiot and gives you a stupid answer, go to another doctor in another town and keep doing this until you seem to have a doctor who will listen to you. A lot of pediatrcians think they know it all and parents are retarded and know nothing.

It sounds like autism but I would say take her to her regular Dr and they can check her out and refer you to a specialist if one is needed. If you have discussed these concerns with your regular Dr. and been blown off I would suggest you get a second opinion.

Definitely see a doctor. Only a doctor can tell you for sure what's going on.

hello, I say take her to her doctor and let them know of your concerns and if you feel they don't give you the info you need get a second opinion. take her to a behavior specialist and see what they have to say I hope you resolve this matter I know that it can be scary and frustrating I have three children who I feel may be bipolar due to there behavior. take care God Bless
