i have had 2 other terrapins before, but none as tiny as this one i bought last year. my brother kept it in his boarding school and recently brought it back. it's sleeping ALOT, and i'm wondering whether i should be worried. it's small, so it's probably a baby, but it sure does sleep alot, and it doesnt eat too much either

Look at the habitat. 'Sleeping' and not eating usually means it is too cold. Get the water temps to 75-80F, and the basking temp to about 90F.

No certainly not, a terrapin needs to have the flexibility to get out of the tank. somebody has released terrapins into our community canal and in case you stroll down there on a sunny day you are able to discover numerous of them and that they have climbed up onto a log jutting out of the water. Terrapins desire water, yet they additionally could desire to get onto dry land. in case you do not supply it, you are able to quickly lose it.
