ps to Mr. Taco...to #2--No, but all the opposition in Congress caving into the "no timetables" clause DOES constitute a failure in this case.

I don't think it was a failure, I just think that she doesn't have enough resources or power to make a change that is good enough for her. Personally, she just wanted to end the war, but she would never really be able to do that. She said that her finances were being eaten up and that her marriage had suffered, so maybe she realized that she was paying a huge price for something that may never change. She definately did not fail, she made people listen and if she changed at least one persons perspective then she was a success.

Her beloved son was killed in a stupid, pointless war and like any parent she got rather stressed about that. She wanted some justice, some reason, and all she got was hatred and mocking from the pro war Republicans. They actually said she was "urinating on her son's grave" by opposing the war. I guess all the insults and cruelty from the Republicans just got to be too much for her and the heartbroken woman gave up her struggle. Evil wins again.

lol there is an old saying
"he who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day"
she needed some time away, she has been totally active on this since August of 2005... 2 continuous years ,without a break. make no mistake Cindy Sheehan has not surrendered, her (and Casey's) spirit won't allow her to .she will be back.

Man you people amaze me. She lost a son! What is wrong with you people? As long as people who lose someone in a war with a smile on their faces and go along with every stupid decision of our politicians, you are all compassionate. As soon as someone questions that, you all pounce like hyenas on the weakest of the herd. Why do you deify your president? Is it because he prays to his god (the almighty dollar) every night before he goes to bed? It was a mistake to go into Iraq, plain and simple. We HAVE to stay the course now, but that is exactly why we shouldn't get don't get ourselves into things like this in the first place!

Don't make fun of her. She's been through so much pain. You shouldn't kick someone when they are down.
