I did own one for a while as my personal bike. I remember buying the larger windshield that was available from Honda. The aerodynamics on the bike are superb with the unique look under the hands at the rear view mirrors. The stock windshield was an obvious wind tunnel error as the wind over the top made it impossible to hold your head still at speed. The 800cc V twin was wrapped in an insulating material that did a terrific job of eliminating engine heat to the rider as well as quieting engine noise. The engine was the same as the 750 Shadow but bored ro 800. Because it was out of sight there were no cosmetic cooling fins. The trunk area was big and carpeted. The front of the bike was really beautiful while the back end was ....well, the back end. It was very comfortable for long rides but lacked a little in the oomph category. (It was kinda slow). If you've found a good one, and fast & furious are low on your prioritity list, and the price is right, I'd highly reccommend it. Good luck.

800cc shaft drive I believe -- that and age equate to less power than a modern 800cc sport tourer (VFR). Looking at Wikipedia's post http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Pacific_Coast it's an engine derived from a cruiser with hydraulic valve adjusters so redline is at a really low RPM. For the positives: each of these has some value to a new rider.

You don't really want mine, Jim. I like Hondas.
The first time I saw one, I blurted out "What the h*ll is that?".
I had a hard time finding anything that looked like a bike under all that plastic.
And it was bright yellow, too!
