Generally about £40-£60 depending on what type of car it is (but ive seen your other questions so im going to assume ur in the VAG which all take the same type of chip and are reasonably priced.) and what is wrong and obviously where you take it. some faults are main dealer only which will cost you about £10 million (joke)

Depends on what type of diagnostic. Here is a price rundown of the diagnostics at my shop.
Engine/Computer $50
Mechanical Free
Emissions Related $20

The cost of each reflects the type of machine used. In PA, the State Mandated Emissions machine tests the function of the emissions systems via the computer and the $20 reflects on the schooling the mechanic needs and the cost of the machine.
Engine diagnostic and further related systems the $50 covers the training and the constant updates for our OTC Genesis machine. It updates ever 4 months or so and each update costs about $500. This can tell you everything from which spark plug fires when to exactly what cylinder is firing at what fuel rate. This system can get very detailed and pinpoint any problems.

If your asking because of a Check Engine light, I know in PA the Emissions test will pull up any codes on your cars computer then it's to the book to tell you what it is and what part is causing you problems.

Sorry for the long answer but I thought you should know what your money goes to seeing as the cost doesn't always seem to fit the service.

As mentioned, many Parts Stores can do a minor diagnostic for free if your trouble light is coming on.
Most Dealerships have the machine to do a through test, but, it around $150. If you have a hard to find problem, and they have the machine I speak of, they can find an electrical short and tell you where it is.

Depend on where you get it done. Most locations will charge you 1 hours labor costs to hook your car up to a computer. Usually between 50 and 80 dollars.

I think AAMCO does them for free, some do in SC, but might be best to call around and see what it costs at different shops near you.

Good luck!

What's the point asking a question, unless you clarify WHERE YOU ARE? You're getting answers in $ and £ here. Make it a bit easier for us and let us know, eh?
