Yes, it is used in Amsterdan. Marijuana plant. You place it next to your computer, then turn on your computer. Next you pull a leaf off, then roll it. (the computer offputs have dried the leaves). Then smoke it. (pay close attention to the laws in your state or city or country, it may be illegal). You will start to notice that the screen looks different. The girls look better. And everything seems more funny than normal. You are now protected from the offputs of the computer.

As far as I know, the only "offput" from a computer is warm air.

yes, plenty of houseplants can make the indoor air feel fresher (more humid) because all the water you water the plants with will get back into air. besides you can mist the plants directly. but nothing as specific as you are asking about
