To avoid duplication, and looking like just another person chiming in with the exact same thing, I always look at the answers. Sometimes someone answers with something similar to what I was going to answer, but they don't completely answer the question at hand. It's like they're trying to blast through questions and just get points rather than REALLY trying to give the asker the answer they're looking for.

I do the same...I rarely look at the other answers first. There are times when a simple question is asked and I see 10 answers. In this case, I don't bother to answer. If someone asked: What is 1+1? There is no point to answering 2 when 10 others already have.

If there is not a long list of answers I do. I like to be one of the first to answer. And if I have an answer and someone else has already said the same exact thing, I don't bother to answer it because that would be ridiculous to say the same thing. So, to answer your question...yes, the majority of the time.

Yes but only so I can see who had a lot of the same answeres. I like my answeres to be original and unique. Sometimes I create stories just to make the asker and everyone else have a good laugh!

Most the time I answer the question first, but sometimes I read other peoples answers first.

I read them so that i am not repeating anyone. If someone has already given the answer that i was going to give i just give them a thumbs up.

I don't look at them before answering cause I want my answer to be straight from me. I am afraid the other answers might influence me so that's why I don't look at them till I am done answering.

I answer first as well, sometimes, if the question could have all the same answer, I look first.
