For a key? Strange?

There is a pannel if you open your driver side door and look on the side of the dash, pop the door off of the fuse box and look for the reset button (usually in the center) and hold it down for a few seconds, then release.

This does not sound right. I've encountered a similar situation, and the dealership was able to make a key for the car with the VIN and the car present in the service department for reprogramming.

I'd check with another dealership. Sounds to me like they're looking to sell you an unnecessary computer.

Good one... i had not run into this problem before...

Well the dealer might be trying to bank on your wallet...GO TO ANOTHER,

I think those keys can be "programed" to use on your car...

Sorry hope other can help you...
