I never been in Romblon before but all I know is that place is famous for their marbles. Btw, I know that since I was a kid coz the floor, kitchen, & bathrooms in my house in the Philippines are all designed with marbles from Romblon. It's so cool, not the usual thing & better than tiles. Then an acquaintance told me that the beaches in Romblon are also nice. (--,)

Romblon ( 12°33′06″N, 122°17′14″E) is an island province of the Philippines located in the MIMAROPA region in Luzon. Its capital is the municipality also named Romblon.
Romblon consists of numerous islands sitting in the Sibuyan Sea. It lies south of Marinduque and Quezon, east of Mindoro, north of Aklan, and west of Masbate. The three major islands are Romblon Island, Tablas Island, and Sibuyan Island.
Romblon is the country's leading producer of high-quality marble, comparable to that of Italy.

My He-Ka-Si teachers in elementary taught me about that fact which I've never forgotten.... In fact, I love geography and knowing what a place can offer is a part of it...
During the trading session happening in Panagbenga here in Baguio, some merchants from Romblon come up and present products made of Romblon marbles... That happens every year... :)

Just like Baguio for strawberries, Paete for wood carvings, Romblon is famous for its rich source in marble with good export quality.
Geographically, Romblon is a part of Region IV. The region is specifically called MIMARO: Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

A classmate of ours is from Romblon. She said that one has to take a ferry to get to their place. Her parents have an extensive collection of marble pieces in black, green, gray to almost pure white. Her last name is "Mountain" in another language.
