I had a car with a stuck valve and my step-dad 40 year GM engine tech said to dump a cup of water in the carb - holding the engine open throttle.

It worked, sounded like &*(%#$%&* but dont let it die, or you'll be screwed.

NOT IN THE GAS TANK!!! NO

But you can add water to your radiator or reserve, to help keep the Coolant levels at point...

Yes you can, as long as you put those water in a tight container and placed in the trunk.

Yes, I do it every time I flush my coolant. However, you need to reinstall the antifreeze for freeze, boil over, rust protection, lubrication and other coolant system design requirements.

If you mean instead of gasoline? No it will not run, it will bog down and stop running.
