I married my husband when I was 19 years old. We were not high school sweethearts, but we did meet in high school. I think that it is okay to get married at a young age. There are actually many benefits.

If you were high school sweethearts, went on to college and took a break from each other (ie, had other people) and are now back together years later, yes. If you have been seeing each other exclusively since high school, NO WAY! I'm sure some of the goof balls from yahoo answers will tell you taht they have only ever been with one man and are happy with their high school sweet heart but for every one of them there are 10 divorces because one or both people begin to resent the fact that they "missed out" on being young and single.

Live life for a while before talking marriage!

My parents were high school sweethearts and they have been married for 53 years.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years.
Is it realistic? No
Can it happen? Yes

Oh, almost forgot, my in-laws were high school sweethearts and they have been married for 49 years. There relationship has been rocky at times, but I believe they truly love each other.

I think it's realistic. My wife and I are H.S. sweethearts, and we've been married now for going on 11 years.

This made me chortle once I study it because of the fact each and every physique continually talks approximately how 'abstinent' Twilight is. My mothers and fathers in no way banned issues for me. If i individually had to study or watch some thing they enable me. each and every of the did grow to be be certain i did not have get entry to to a pair convey stuff. So i'm against faculties doing this. i think of that's quite as much as the mothers and fathers, not the faculties. If faculties do not prefer little ones to study Twilight maximum appropriate is to allure to any interest to it, etc. yet i think of attempting to limit little ones from bringing Twilight to college is ridiculous. There are books available that are worse for babies than Twilight (ignoring the actual shown fact that that's the dissimilar worse literature available) you may desire to argue that this e book could provide little ones some incorrect concepts of how relationships be conscious (like Edwards dismantling of the motor vehicle engine to maintain Bella from seeing Jacob) yet i think of that for babies in straightforward college those strategies don't be conscious. i think of that's as much as the mothers and fathers to be certain and as quickly as the youngsters attain middle college i think of it is going to be as much as them.

Absolutely, just take it slow. I was going to marry mine but I moved and the long distance was too much. 25 years later we still talk and are still very much in love but life moved on and we are both married with kids and we respect that.

Good luck!

It is realistic. I think you are setting yourself up for failure though. You should wait until you have gotten out of high school, been through college, and both landed comfortable jobs.

What's the rush?

I don't think so because who knows....you two might break up. If it happens, it happens, but if not, don't stress it. We're still kids now.
