I think I was about 9, my brother told me, who's 13 months older than me. He was very practical about the whole thing, and asked me before dropping the bombshell 'why did i think the shops were full of toys if 'Santy' is supposed to make them'......I thought and didn't give the correct answer, so he broke into my mam and dads wardrobe and showed me the doll and cot i had asked for.

I didn't feel cheated, or upset, I think its because my brother was so matter of fact about it.

My godson was distraught though, it was nearly funny. but he dealt with it, but finding out Rudolf didn't exist was the final blow. Ahhhh, still feel sorry for him

I was never told, I just figured it out. I can't remember how old I was though, I know I kept up the pretence for a while for my parents.

He isn't real?!?!?

I guess that's why I haven't gotten anything since I moved out of my parent's house. I thought he was mad at me.
