I am a pitcher myself and I take lessons at Grease lightning Pitching Academy twice a month. Some of the drills i do are wrist snaps, full motion drills, step and slides, i work out with wieghts (2 - 5lbs.) three times a week. for the wrist snaps get a softie softball ( made for pitching drills) and practice snapping your wrist against a brick wall. full motion drills are when you go through your pitch without a ball. Step and slide drills are when you put your arms behind your back and and practice striding as far as you can. This builds up leg muscles. And about her drafting have her constantly drag her back foot b/c you know the saying practice makes perfect! For a while i did not do my drills and one week i did ALL my drills everyday and gained almost 5mph.

you might ask her why she isn't doing it... she probably has her own explanation.... hey it might hurt her to try and drag might check that out.. but other than pain try and get her to keep her foot on the ground and just practice like that over and over. take the ball away and watch her motion. there might be something else she is doing that keeps her foot off of the ground.

check with your local batting cage/training facitliy and see if you can find a trainer. 1 lesson with an expert could make all the difference.
