Look, pre-marital sex is promoted everywhere. Movies, TVs, etc. Is it actually right? Because I grew up believing that it is wrong and it is considered a sin. But, now the world says otherwise. Almost every movie coming out in theatre nowadays have got at least one obsece scene in it.

There is nothing inherently wrong with sex. The purpose of sex is to create babies though, and babies take a lot of resources for a long time. Married couples are more likely to be able to provide for their children with little help from other people than unmarried (young) couples.

Parents discourage pre-marital sex because they want their children to have a solid foundation for the rest of their lives before devoting themselves to raising their own children, and without that foundation it is likely that grandma and grandpa will be needed to help with raising the new family members.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what television has to say about how you or other people live their lives. Think for yourself (or ask Yahoo! Answers).

Dude.

Pre-marital sex is wrong but, that does not mean the world is saying otherwise. Just because every movie in theatres are showing such things nowadays, doesn't mean they are trying to promote pre-marital sex.

They are giving the wrong messages to children, but at the end of the day, you are right. It is still wrong. A sin, I won't define... but I do know why there's a rise in HIV.

And NOT every movie has an obscene scene in it. And anyway, it is a matter of mindset. Seat back and enjoy the movie for goodness sake!

The society is changing and evolving, we've just got to adapt. We are animals you know. X)

The world is changing rapidly. Whether it's for the better or worse is a constant source of discussion. It sounds like you are struggling with values that were taught to you while you were young, and the apparent lack of values that exist in society today. At some point, you need to decide what values you actually believe yourself. It's difficult to break away or to adapt the ideas and beliefs taught to us as children, but only we can know what is right for us. As for being too conservative, it doesn't matter as long as you feel good about the choices you do and don't make. Just try not to judge everyone else for their personal choices. Don't see the offensive movies, and choose a partner whose beliefs complement your own.

Actually pre-marital sex as ALWAYS been going on. It is just more publicized now. Check marriage and birth records from years past (1600's and 1700's) There are tons of babies being born into 6-7 month old marriages. And in those days premature babies didn't have a chance of living.

Sin or not people have been getting their groove on since the dawn of time. Nothing new, and nothing has changed.

What is yours personal opinion?
Must U follow the messes? Beliefs and conscience is one upbringing from the family and church.
Rights or wrong it all depend on how U view at it.
With modern lifestyle, U don't do it they said U are abnormal.
Follow your hearts in whatever decision U made, should it contradict your view, resolve and think about it than just do it [decided]!

No, you are not too conservative. The world is promoting sex and promiscuity on a massive level, e.g. "sex sells." There is nothing wrong with standing apart with morals and character.

It IS sin. No matter how good it may feel temporarily or how golden it looks. Trust me, no excuse, decoration, or celebration used can change that.
