let me try :)

Be alone : By removing attachment with all around us... we become alone

Be awake : Krishna says in Geeta.. when all world sleep yogi awakens... so be awake here means awake to the inner divinity and sleep to the outer desires

Be hungry : Be hungry for the wisdom....never think you have had enough...because there is still enough to be known

Ok sweetie, I am going too go out on a limb and take a educated guess, this is by no means probably correct but this is my interpretation.

Spend time in your own company 2 get 2 know you and be aware of who you are(your awakening) and always be hungry or thirsty for life. Meaning always seek more, more knowledge, more spirituality, learn more about ones self

This axiom is about independent investigation of truth. To find truth, we must hunger and thirst for it. To recognize it, we must be alert and awake, for it comes in many forms and from unexpected directions. And, lastly, we are alone in our search. No one can do it for us. It is our responsibility to find it for ourselves. When investigating truth, we should look with our own eyes and not the eyes of our neighbor; we should hear with our own ears, and not the ears of our neighbor. We should think with our own heart, and not the heart of anyone who thinks they have our best interest at heart, not a lover, not a parent, not a preacher, not anyone. It is between us and the Ultimate/All Truth and no one else. We are accountable for one person alone on this issue.
