To start with angel= why would anybody want to hol it against you , because you could not spell , If they have then i would say to them it is none of their buissness. To me you are a humun being , and born like us all to get onto this planet of ours , Their are many people that cannot spell , but let me ask you , does that matter , if you could not spell , No one has the right to tell you that because you cannot spell i am going to hold this against you , If they do , then they are not worth knowing , Just remember something Angel what has spelling got to do with the person your are , so you just think positive , and if someone comes up to you and says i have this gurge against you , because you cannot spell just turn around to that person who has said it to you , and say i am just as equal as anyone , in fact i am better .

I must say I do find it very annoying when people's spelling and grammar are absolutely appalling. I wouldn't be rude about it though, but if I was in a bad mood I might write a little correction and apologise for being pedantic.
I took a degree in English and Linguistics, specialising in syntax (grammar) and it just bugs me when simple rules are completely disregarded. There's a spell checker on here!

I have to admit, I sort of hold it against those who cant spell. I mean, abbreviated grammar and short spellings which are commonly known dont bother me. Language is always changing, and the internet has changed a lot about the way we "write" things. But when "vows" and "vowels", "theirs" and "there is" mistakes are made, I have to wonder whats going on!!

If I am concerned about you, If I am your teacher, classmate.. Yes I will hold against you if you commit same mistake again and again..
But if it only to irritate you on ane accpount or another then it is in bad taste..
Look at the bigger picture .. waht were the circumsatnces.. Perspective in total is more importnat for arriving at such a conclusion..
The anwer yes or no is not importnat.. look at the perspective.. try to judge the intentions ..All the best

No, but it depends in what context I need your writing. Using a spell checker is easy. If you want to impress a boss or a new friend it would help not to sound like a fool, but then that's only me. I had a colleague with a Master's degree in science and she was smart, but could not spell to save her life.

Only if you live with us, and bring home love letters to leave on the table. When my daughter does this, I correct the grammar and spelling, then put them back. Since you don't live here, you are off the hook.

No, as long as I understand the content of a question, I don't let spelling get in the way.

I don't mind if you misspell words, a lot of people have trouble with spelling - what I can't stand is the overuse of text language - that's just pure laziness.

Not really. After answering and asking all that questions, no one will be able to spell perfectly. Except those who run their statements through MS, I guess.
