Probably an infection. Always see a doctor for ear problems. Preferably someone who specializes in ENT. Don't put it off. The ear is quite close to the brain and if the infection gets worse the operation can be serious. Go see a doctor now.

It happened to me back then, and after that throbbing thing in my right ear, there was some ringing. It's called tinnitus.

It sounds like an infection. If you don't want it to get worse go see a doctor. If you wait to long your eardrums could get hurt, depending on the type problem you may have.

It could be your ear drum getting ready to burst, which hurts, believe me, make an appointment to see your Doctor.

I've had it before...you should try cleaning out your ear with a q-tip. If that doesn't work than it will go away soon.

if you get a shooting pain as well you must see a doctor immediately as it could be an infection which can result in hearing loss if not treated quickly
