i was born there !!!! i believe Australia is a really interesting country in the sense that u lot eat a lot of vegemite! lol .. no really the country has a red earth desert, tropical lush forest, great barrier reefs and much more to see ! So what more can you ask.. well some of the people can be a tad eccentric.. but hey that makes the Aussies moreeee interesting!

I absolutely love the people from Australia that I have met. I think the country must be pretty amazing to produce such cool people.
My sister was there for about a month and absolutely loved it. I think Australia must be really nice and would love to go there someday. I have Aussie pen pals and they are so nice, I can't wait to visit.
Then again, the Chair Wizard is from there, you guys have beautiful women...so what else could a person want?

Australia is demonstrably the most dry and inhospitable land on the planet. It raises the toughest, most adaptable people, who keep their eyes on what's going on in the world, and try to help. This hasn't been helped lately by our politicians, who, by and large, smell like a bucket of prawns left in the sun for a week, and do things like follow George 'three-word-sentences' Bush into the mire of religious wars without thinking. This, however, is about to change, and we'll have a younger Prime Minister who will do an great job for the first term, and we will reserve judgement on him until the end of that.
Most of us have been on the Grand Tour and seen what everyone does in other countries, and then come home again to sanity. We eat Italian and Greek food, drink Australian and German beer far too cold, like everybody who is not holding a gun, and cannot understand people who are so frightened of their neighbours that they have to carry guns.
We are easy to get along with as long as you try to understand our slang.
That oughter do it.

My Dad spent time in Australia during WWII and has good memories of it...from there, however, he was sent to New Guinea (not so good memories)...I have never been to Australia but would love to visit some day. Thanks for asking

Three words! Home sweet home.
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of rugged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains;
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel sea,
Her beauty and her terror,
The wide brown land for me.
