Since we have no way of knowing what exists outside universe, the question has no definite answer. Light cannot pass beyond the universe and as of now, information can only pass as light. Since space is created along with the universe, what was there before the universe came into existence and what is there into which the universe is expanding... such questions cannot be answered.
Theoretically, there is no need for anything to exist into which the unvierse expands.

there is no end of it. It's Hubble's paradox. It's a limit.
NASA is planning James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which would probably replace the old age Hubble and may be launched in 2011. It is presumed that JWST will look beyond Hubble's boundary of 14 billion LY (BLY). It means, if it takes a photograph of the universe beyond 14 BLY, we will have a conclusion that it is our technology that needs periodic enhancement, where as the Universe is infinite.

The Universe is defined as the summation of all particles and energy that exist and the space-time in which all events occur
Therefore, anything 'beyond' the universe can be defined as having neither space nor time (at least according to our idea of them).
So (to quote Bill Clinton), the answer to the question "What is there beyond the universe?" depends on what your definition of "is" is.

He he he..
you shouldn't even think about universe having a boundary, but your idea of expanding universe belongs to the big bang theory, which has been proved wrong. but the question of infinity of universe remains..

Universe is expanding..it is known..
but into what is unknown..this is because such a vast mass of space can't fit into anything else. If you had asked this to a priest, he would have told hell or heaven..
so we have no other option but to agree with him..or wait till death.

There is nothing for it to expnad into, emptyness. They call it dark matter or energy, but I think they just named it to make it sound like they knew what it was lol. There are no boundaries to the universe. It is infinite

There are two concepts beyond the scope of human understanding. One is your question. The other is , when
did time begin?
Don't lose any sleep worrying about these.
