Please help me here , Because I am having a real hard time trying to understand this .

What almighty power does the Pope have that he can offer comfort to the parents ?

So when you need comfort you should seek the pope becasue he can make it seem better ? He can't solve anything but he can make it feel better .

I live in a world were the water is wet and the sky is blue and where parents look after thier children .

PEOPLE OF THE WORLD - GET OVER YOURSELVES

Please don't go on about Catholic / christian or any other beliefs , These are beliefs you will chase these your whole life and you will die none the wiser .

2 things in life are certain - You will be born and you will die

But isn't the contraversay in the middle the fun part !!!

honestly - do you think he can help at all? no!!

its a load of CRAP and it really makes me mad! i hate it how s**t happens in life and instead of people holding their hands up, apologizing and learning from their faults, they look to a god to help them and ask for forgivness.

maybe the parents should be asking Madeline for forgiveness??

Um...let me at least try...
The Pope or the Holy Father as we call him is the head of the Roman Catholic Church. Naturally Roman Catholics look up to him. But we do know that the good counsel & prayers of a humble old village Priest is just the same. What Maddie's parents seek to gain from their special visit at this crucial time instead of doorknocking is alien to me. As far as any religious beliefs are concerned, you would do well to know that it is not the religion & the rituals & the tradition that is so precious but the personal relationship a person shares with his God (Christ for me, a higher power, your maker). & yes, we are born & we die & the fun inbetween is what we call life!

They mostly have a record of helping themselves, and if you
ask a really tough question they claim to have Gods word on
it but later it turns out he must have misheard what god was saying.
