I mean they tried praying at the local levels (local churces) which didnt work.

Then they tried visiting Fatima (a little higher up on the Religious scale)

Now they are visiting the Pope.

Now if the Big Fella isnt going to listen to the Pope then he isnt going to listen to anyone .......

If it was a court, then visiting the Pope is like visiting the High Court. There are no appeals process left after that.

So if she doesnt appear, maybe they can abandon the whole religious train theyve been riding for nearly a month, and actually get round to looking for her the good old fashioned way.

Bob isn't in basic terms precise yet Bob's answer is totally consistent with the present questioning in quantum mechanics that the mere remark differences the outcomes of particular experiments. between the biggest problems with information is that virtually all of persons who use them have not got a clue approximately information. you assert "we" have completed statistical finding out. in case you have been in touch as your use of the term "we" exhibits the place are your outcomes? by way of fact you haven't any longer written your outcomes interior the way a statistician could i'm suggesting you're utilising the term "we" to intend contributors of the human race of which you're additionally a member, or in line with risk you're utilising "we" to intend you're making a distinction between people who have faith in a prayer answering God and people who do no longer and you're alongside with your self interior the latter team. the two way, you're making mere assertions that are no longer supported with the help of tangible information. Your so-reported as test is similar to a documentary I as quickly as observed the place countless non secular people have been praying for particular terminally ill people. This became a television stunt that had no medical importance i'm afraid. For an test to be scientifically valid you may desire to have the skill to regulate all your variables and this became no longer something like a controlled ecosystem.

Well, I am a Christian...I dont practice a specific religion because I think you can get into bad things but I have a relatioship with God...And here is what I believe...God gave us freewill to make our own decisions...I thank him he did not make us programmed robots...God hears all prayers but no they may not all be answered in our time or the way we want. For the mom that lost her daughter to cancer..I am so sorry and hope I never have to go through what you have but God did here you and although this may not help you...You were blessed by him for 12 years unlike so many that never get that oppurtunity. I am sure that doesnt make you feel any less in pain but know you can be with your daughter again one day. God knows what Madeleines parents did and I personally feel it is quite cheezy when people have no God in there life until something bad happens...Maybe had they been following Gods word to begin with they would not be out consuming alcohol and leaving their kids alone. God specifically gives us instructions in the bible on how to raise our children and leaving them alone in a hotel room on holiday is not in there...we are told to raise our child up, guide them, love them. protect them, discipline them. My question for them would be where was God in your life on that night. But as I said Gods timing is not the same as ours and well maybe Madeleine is with him now singing and dancing with angels...better then being left alone all the time and raised by Nannys. I do pray for her safe return but when she returns will she continue to remain safe in her parents home?

No they won't abandon their religion [ which incidentally they do not have anyway as they are merely "Cafeteria Catholics" picking and choosing those elements which best suit them ].

They will try and profit from it.. maybe they'll even set up their own sect. - the McCannians Hopefully they'll go and live in some barren back water in the USA with their Yahoo Answers followers..

Janis Joplin sang a song about wanting a mercedes benz ,

I too sang that song for 6 whole months every morning . afternoon , evening .

In the end I had to get a loan to buy one

I realise my error , What I should have done was gone to the pope so he could have asked on my behalf

Oh well I know now what to do for the porsche

Um...Tho' i do not think this is the right time to be off visiting the Pope instead of doorknocking, most people do not visit a place of worship with the sole intention of receiving what they desire but more for the grace / strength to accept what God has in store for them. I do hope the Pope counsels them to go doorknocking. He just might.

It's like the story of a witch doctor, who tells a diseased man "have faith and you will be healed".

If he gets better, the witch doctor takes credit.

If he doesn't, it's because he didn't have enough faith.

Either way, the witch doctor can't lose.

I just hope that their little girl Maddie is found. I lost mine to cancer at the age of twelve, praying doesn't work or at least it didn't for me, wish I could say otherwise!

At least they have been able to keep their story in the limelight, a lot of peoples stories don't get picked up let alone given this sort of coverage. I am glad that they got theirs out there so others could try and help them find Maddie, because this is the really important thing!

I can prove my point just read my stories for free at the scorce link or email me if it deosn't appear and I will send you the link back.

Religion doesn't really work that way. People pray to God for strength, courage and the will to go on when things look desperate. Not so that by miracle the little girl turns up. I do agree however that prayer won't necessarily get them results in finding their daughter. They should be out looking.

Couldnt they ACTUALLY speak to God?

Gerry and Kate are so clever couldnt he operate on her, then she could have a near death experience, speak directly to God, and then he could bring her back. Obviously they would need to sort out the fine details, like how long she would need.
