dont worry you dont need a floppydisk drive... windows 2000 os is compact disc. just put your windows cd to your cd rom.. since windows also has a boot up disc . yu can format your HD on DOS prompt.just boot your pc on cd rom.. then prompt it to "dos prompt with cd support".
aafter formating drive C.. type setup to install windows 2000 from your cd rom drive..

You dont need floppy disks to format any more.

Use the installation CD to format the boot drive.

Or if you want to format anyother drive you can do it through Windows Explorer

You can format your PC... but everything including the OS will be swiped out of ur PC. In order to reinstall the OS (win 2000) you require a win 2000 OS CD handy before you format your PC... once you have the CD its a child's play to format your PC.... GET the win 2000 OS CD first.

You can use WIndows 2000 to format the hard drive during installation.
