The point is so that our knuckles don't drag and scrape the ground and we don't swing from trees anymore. I hope we continue to evolve but the way human beings behave and fight these days, I think we've began devolving. But all kidding aside, the point of learning is so you can have a good life, afford a family, a home....raise smart children....get the picture?

I don't know how old you are, but this question shows that you have a serious problem. Do you want to go through life ignorant? If you learn nothing, how will you do anything at all in the future? Stop and think. There is no job, from grilling burgers to rocket science that doesn't require learning!

Let's see. Just about every employer wants you to have at the very least, a high school education.

Most jobs require a college degree of some type.

Without these papers, you would have to settle for a job at McDonald's or Burger King, and I think Burger King wants you to have the High School education to push one of their Brooms.

Employers want their employees to have an education so they can speak with the customer in a non-offensive manner with intelligence.

Some jobs require special skills that you can only obtain from "LEARNING".

So that you wouldn't sound stupid. Learning increases knowledge (duh) & makes a person more interesting. A learned person can communicate with a wide variety of people. People who are interested in increasing their knowledge show a curiosity in what is going on around them. It's a characteristic which makes for better employees & leaders. People who learn always have something to do; if nothing more than reading a book. The more people know, the better the quality of life.

So you can drive, cook, replace a light bulb, communicate with others.

It is possible someone might adopt you as a pet and feed you from a bowl, but if you don't "learn" not to go on the rug, they'll make you an outside pet. Not good, especially in the rainy season.

There is learning in everything that we do. Every waking moment in life presents itself with opportunities to learn. Education is a formalized methodology adopted so that we can learn about the subjects that interest us most.

Just as food is required everyday to energize your body; intellectual stimulation is required everyday for the brain cells to be active and function optimally.

"All our lives, we learn 'How to Live' - so we may die in peace".

Cheers!
