When I got married, I remember saying "Forsaking all others." Sorry I don't have access to the vows.

i, take "insert fiancee's name here" to be my lawful wedded wife/husband". there it is. lawful. oh, and HUSBAND/WIFE. the law is that you dont cheat on your marriage partner, if you do, it gives your partner right to divorce you, even in religious circles.

second, you dont marry a person so that they are your fallback when you come home from a wild night out of sex with other ppl. they are not your comfort when the casual sex ppl arent available or have moved on. your marriage partner is your ONLY partner for life. otherwise you could just marry everyone for fun, or for an excuse to have sex with em all. ridiculous.

a marriage is a COVENANT. consecrating yourself to that one person for life, mind, body and soul.

the reason the traditional wedding vows dont litterally say "in fidelity" is because any moron can figure out that this is half the point. but if you really need the proof, learn what the vows mean. learn about marriage properly. its all in there.

It says you should forsake all others, and keep yourself only unto each other (or words to that effect, those are kind of the old way of saying it)

In the Christian faith, the fidelity issue is addressed in the part that says, " ....forsaking all others..."
