It helps me refocus, reflect, and mull over things while enjoying the beautiful scenery where i am walking. Walking leisurely invigorates the senses, calms the mind and helps me think about what transpired during the day. It is also a very opportune time for insightful introspection

Seeing nature at your leisure. The knowledge that it is the best form of exercise. Getting fresh air about you. Knowing you're getting closer to the pub

I enjoy walking in the countryside as it helps me to relax and chill out. Other times it gives me the opportunity to think about any problems I might have. Other times I just feel great especially when there is no one else around and I feel I have the whole place to myself. Where I go there are 3 deer in the woods and it is rare that you see them, but when you do, it makes my day.

I love being out in nature, the fresh air, enjoying the scenery. Especially out in the country away from the constant city noise.

It is the BEST exercise one can do....in 6 weeks walking five miles a day I lost 37 lbs.....post partum.....I looked like a totally different human being....people barely recognized me, and I was muscle toned as well...I had cutout all carbs save a few in the morning......another thing about walking ...is that when yo walk....one day while walking i thought this:" I cannot lie to myself when I walk...everything balances out and i feel, can cry, observe, reply with my life to my inner self with truths I need to have..."~ Then I found in Indian folklore it was quoted...
That: "You cannot lie to yourself when you walk, your truths will always arise and you will understand your life...." ~ needless to say I was shocked...and pleased..and yes...I am still an 'Ambler' (One who walks) and will remain so.....
Thank you for the opportunity to say this...

I seem to get very bored when I go out walking, especially if I don't have a set destination where I am going. I hate to walk just be be walking and end up back where I started.

I try to do as little of it as possible. I'm not lazy but I walk for a living. In an average ten hour shift, I may be on my feet for eight of them. And I do that five days a week.
It seems worse on a day shift. Even though I may only be on my feet for seven hours ..... the shift only lasts seven hours.

The ability to walk at all! I'm disabled and walk slowly with a stick. When I walk, everybody and their dog overtakes me but I can take my time and enjoy people's nice gardens and everything around me. It's not quantity but quality!

I've met really cool people on my walks. My gf is adventurous and she loves checking out some of the local hiking trails with me. The scenery is great, though we do run into rattle snake or two. It's those lizard that I can't stand they come out of nowhere and spook you.
